We require some information about you and your business before confirming any bookings at our markets. While we are passionate about championing small independent businesses, makers, and crafters, we are equally committed to maintaining the highest standards of fair trading, transparency, and intellectual property protection.

Fine City Events operates in line with the Real Deal Charter, promoting best practice in market trading and protecting both traders and visitors.

To safeguard the integrity of our markets, we strictly prohibit the sale of counterfeit, unlicensed, or intellectual-property-infringing products. This includes unlicensed merchandise based on well-known franchises such as Star Wars, Disney characters, Pokémon, or similar brands, unless the trader holds the appropriate commercial licence. We also do not accept stalls selling cheap imports, replicas, or mass-produced copycat items that undermine genuine makers and independent creative businesses.

Our aim is to champion:

  • Authentic, original, handmade, or ethically sourced products

  • Fair and transparent trading practices

  • Markets free from counterfeit, unsafe, or misleading goods

  • A trusted, high-quality environment for families, visitors, and local artisans

By applying to trade, vendors confirm that they will comply with UK Trading Standards requirements when selecting and selling their products, and that they uphold the principles set out in the Real Deal Campaign.

This approach allows us to create a high-quality, reputable market that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and community, while ensuring a positive experience for all involved.
